Ironman By 40 is a personal project and online platform documenting my journey to compete in an Ironman Triathlon before turning 40. I, started this journey with no triathlon experience and a lot of determination. I was spurred on by the desire to stay healthy and active to keep up with my growing daughter, to live a more fulfilling life, and to accomplish a goal that has been a dream of mine for over 25 years.
Ironman By 40 is more than just a personal goal; it's a mission to inspire others, to show that it's never too late to chase your dreams and that with determination and the right mindset, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Through this platform, I share my training progress, the challenges I face, the lessons I learn, the research I conduct, and the growth I experience as I work towards my goal. The author of Ironman By 40 is Sean, a dedicated father, husband, and full-time professional who made the decision to take on the immense challenge of completing an Ironman Triathlon before his 40th birthday. Despite having a packed schedule and a host of responsibilities, he has chosen to embark on this ambitious journey to realize a dream he's had for over 25 years with just over 2 years to accomplish it.
Sean is a firm believer in living a healthy and active lifestyle. With the onset of his journey, he has transformed from a casual cyclist to an avid triathlete-in-training, working on improving his running, swimming, and cycling skills every day. Through Ironman By 40, he's sharing his experience, research, lessons learned, and most importantly, the transformation that this training is bringing in his life.
Though he is new to the triathlon world, he's not shy to share his experiences and hopes to inspire others with his journey. With a passion for fitness, endurance sports, and an unstoppable drive to achieve his goal, Sean is the heart and soul of Ironman By 40.
